MailCase Guarantee and Warranty
MailCase Limited Lifetime Warranty
MailCase backs our products with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. This warranty covers the original owner against manufacturing defects and any failure of moving or welded parts under normal use. The warranty does not cover deliberate or accidental damage of the MailCase including vandalism, or lost keys. Break-in attempts are covered separately in the Section entitled “Attempted Break-ins.”
We started selling MailCase in 2007. We have had mailboxes throughout the US stand for more than a decade without rust. We are proud to stack the MailCase against any of our competitors when it comes to anti-rust performance. However, because of the vast differences in installation conditions across the country the MailCase warranty does not extend to finishes or rust.
MailCase will determine how it will remedy warrantied items at the time a warranty claim is made. MailCase makes no claim and assumes no liability concerning the safety of you, your mail and/or the mailbox. Either could be stolen or vandalized even when the product is installed and used as per instructions. Purchaser understands that it is impossible to make any mailbox 100% vandal proof. A determined vandal or thief can eventually compromise any locking mailbox design.
Attempted Break-ins and Guarantee
Attempted break-ins are rare with the MailCase. We only have a handful per year, and successful break-ins are almost unheard of. If your MailCase is damaged in an attempted break-in, we strive to get you back to full function and security as soon as possible. We offer replacement doors, locks, and pry-shields. Depending on the circumstances, MailCase typically sends these replacement parts to you free of charge.
If a criminal successfully breaks into your MailCase and steals your mail, send us a notification in our Contact Us page. We will reply via email and ask you to submit pictures as well as your MailCase order number or last name as well as the police case number. After review and determination of a successful break-in attempt, MailCase offers a refund of the purchase price of the mailbox, not including shipping. Should the customer elect, MailCase offers a replacement mailbox in lieu of a refund. No part of any of this warranty (both Limited Lifetime Warranty and Attempted Break-in Warranty) should constitute an obligation of MailCase to assume any liability for other damages to person or property, including anything resulting from mail or identity theft. By making a purchase, Customer agrees the maximum amount of liability assumed by MailCase is the amount of the purchase price of the mailbox, excluding shipping.
MailCase Money Back Guarantee
MailCase has a 30 day money back guarantee. If you are unsatisfied with the MailCase for any reason, Contact Us within 30 days of the date you received the mailbox for return instructions. Returns should be returned in new condition. We refund 100% of the purchase price of the mailbox (and post if you buy a post). You are also responsible for return shipping costs. We get a substantial discount from FedEx (almost 1/2 off the retail price) so usually it is most cost effective for us to email return labels to you and then deduct the cost of the return shipping from the refund. If you are returning items from Alaska or Hawaii we’ll refund the purchase price of the items, but not the cost to ship them to you.
